Working together for a smooth transition

During such strange times it is easy to forget just how much help and support has remained quietly in the background, supporting our young people to continue accessing the services they so badly need.

It is so important for our young people, who are rapidly rising 18, to feel that this precious time is not wasted, and their transition plans and opportunities remain on track despite the challenge society is experiencing during this pandemic.

For this reason, we want to say thank-you to our colleagues in the Virtual School Service who continue to work so creatively to engage our young people and keep them on track with their learning. We continue to be supported not only by our colleagues within social care and education but have also been able to work creatively with our community links and local employers to offer future employment opportunities and continued vocational learning.

A big thank you to everyone for their resilience, determination and partnership working!
